Ms Winnie Tam , S.C.

Winnie is a barrister-at-law in private practice in Des Voeux Chambers, Hong Kong. She commenced her practice in the intellectual property field upon completion of further studies and specialist training under eminent members of the Patent Bar in London. In recognition of her experience and standing as a barrister particularly in intellectual property law, she was appointed Senior Counsel of the Bar by the Chief Justice of Hong Kong SAR in 2006.

Winnie is also a barrister admitted to practice in England and Wales, and an accredited mediator. She has given a number of talks and lectures to share her experience with the industry, lawyers and law students in Hong Kong and China. Recently, she was appointed an adjunct professor of the Eastern China University of Political Science and Law (华东政法大学).

Winnie has been invited to serve from time to time as a Deputy High Court Judge and has been serving her profession through the role of Council Member and Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association since 2010. Her current positions in public service include memberships in the ICAC Advisory Committee on Corruption, Hong Kong Tourism Board, and the Council and Court of the Hong Kong Baptist University.
